The University of Texas at San Antonio is dedicated to provide higher education opportunities to students in the best academic environment possible. The university, however, does not have a universal honor code for all members of the university community to follow. Beginning in 2003, student members of Honors Alliance and Student Government Association worked with Student Judicial Affairs and various faculty members to write the first draft of the proposed university honor code. The proposed Honor Code document is a student iniative project spanning 5 years of work and research through a variety of sources. The proposed document has not gone through the official university approval process. The members of Honors Alliance and Student Government Association are ready to encourage the faculty and administration to adopt the proposed honor code for UTSA.
We encourage you to participate in a short survey that can be found at the following link:http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=_2b_2feF_2fMc_2fa6z2p7_2fmLRpBuQ_3d_3d
Let us know what you think about academic integrity here at UTSA. The survey will help us understand the UTSA community’s feelings and opinions regarding academic integrity and an adoption of a University Honor Code. To view the concurrent draft of the Honor Code, please visit the Honor Code section of our website.
